Our therapists are Babies Can't Wait provider for Georgia's Early Intervention Program which serves children at risk for developmental delay. Sarah was born and raised in Savannah where she attended St. Vincent's Academy. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 2006 with an undergraduate degree in Psychology. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Georgia State University in 2013. Sarah has experience in pediatric, in-patient, and geriatric settings but her lifelong passion has always been helping children. In 2015 Sarah decided to start her own practice to provide physical therapy services to children. Since that time the practice has continued to grow! Lowcountry Children's Therapy now has a team of therapists helping children with a wide variety of diagnoses to learn and grow.
Sarah enjoys working with patients in the clinical setting as well as community settings where she can incorporate playgrounds, swimming pools, and the outdoors into her treatment sessions. She values the importance of family participation in therapy for their child. In her spare time she enjoys being on the water, running, and spending time with her family. Sarah has four children of her own, who inspire her mission as a therapist to help differently abled children to reach their greatest potential in life.
Rachael graduated from Georgia Southern/Armstrong with a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy, also holding an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science. She has received training in Myofascial Release for pediatric patients which can help with pain and improved motion and posture. Rachael has always had a heart for helping others from a young age, with her passion lying in helping children grow to their fullest potential. All of her patients are like her own kiddos.
Rachael has two young children of her own, and when she isn't working with her patients or spending time with family, you can find her teaching and taking martial arts classes at her local studio.
Darby Boggs

Darby graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Georgia Southern University in 2019 and Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Science from Armstrong State University in 2016. During her doctoral program, she completed a clinical rotation in pediatrics, during which she gained experience with developmental delays and non-verbal children, and also developed a passion for working with children. Darby is eager to guide and help children reach their full potential while educating and supporting their families. She currently provides quality, research-based care to several children within the Chatham and Effingham areas. In her spare time Darby enjoys painting and spending time with her 1 year old son and family.
Kelsey Lewis

Kelsey graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2023 with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy and Masters in Kinesiology in 2020. She also received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from LaGrange College in 2017. Kelsey completed her clinical rotation at Lowcountry’s Children Therapy, and decided this is where she wanted to begin her career in pediatrics. She appreciated the team dynamic as well as the collaboration among all disciplines to establish the best treatment plan for the child and their family. Kelsey’s experiences include coaching youth sports, volunteering with organizations such as Girl Scouts of America and Camp RAD, as well as babysitting her two nieces.
Kelsey loves working with kids and has a passion for creating and building a foundation for them to grow and achieve their milestones.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, fishing, playing soccer, spoiling her two dogs, and spending time with family and friends
Emily Gerrity

Emily was born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania and recently moved to Savannah from Seattle, Washington. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences and Masters degree in Occupational Therapy with a specialization in Pediatrics from Misericordia University. She currently maintains her certification in occupational therapy with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and is licensed in the state of Georgia and Washington state.
Emily has worked in pediatric outpatient settings, telehealth services, and school based settings since 2019 treating a variety of diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, developmental delay, cerebral palsy, and various other disorders and delays. Emily has a passion for working with kids with sensory processing difficulties, motor delays, and promoting independence in older children in the community. She works with children on activities of daily living, including feeding related to sensory processing and oral motor difficulties, dressing skills, and grooming/bath time routines.
Emily has a passion for service work and volunteering, and had the opportunity to travel to Jamaica in college to provide education and interventions to children in orphanages and non-profit organizations.
Deanna Shaw

Deanna, was born and raised in York, PA. In 2018 she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and then in 2021 earned her Master’s degree in occupational therapy from Temple University. While at Temple, she was a part of a research team that focused on trauma informed care. This group amplified her passion to fight against trauma and use occupational therapy to support and guide children of all ages who are or have had to experience trauma. Deanna enjoys supporting children and families in ways to guide and provide the necessary skills for them to flourish in all occupations. In her free time,
Deanna moved to beautiful Savannah in 2022. She enjoys traveling, being outdoors, playing her many instruments, as well as spending time with her friends, family, and cat.
Anna Hasset

Anna was born and raised in North Carolina but has been a Georgia transplant for 11 years now. She earned her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from Georgia Southern University and her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Augusta University. While in graduate school, Anna participated in unique pediatric experiences including Camp TBI, a summer camp for children that have sustained brain injuries. She was also a part of a research team that worked to identify missed diagnoses of autism within the school systems in California, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, and New York, demonstrating her passion for helping children at a systematic level.
Anna’s clinical experience has included inpatient and outpatient pediatric populations with a special focus on sensory and oral-motor feeding. Anna loves to work with patients and their families to promote independence and help increase family bonds through feeding therapy. In her free time, Anna enjoys being with her two dogs, being out in nature, and enjoying all that beautiful Savannah has to offer.”

Nicole was born in Savannah, Ga, but her family moved to Middle Georgia, Lake Oconee, at age 3 where she was raised. She grew up cheering on the Dawgs and graduated from UGA in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Childhood and Family Development. After college, she returned to Savannah, where she received her Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology. Nicole is licensed in the state of Georgia, as well as earned her Certification of Clinical Competency by her national board, the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).
Nicole’s professional experience has been focused in pediatric private practice in both the clinical and community settings. Nicole is experienced in a variety of areas including: early intervention, articulation, infant feeding and swallowing, AAC device implementation and programming, fluency, apraxia of speech, and school-aged language disorders. Nicole enjoys building lasting rapport with patients and their families while helping them reach their goals. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, baby boy and their 2 dogs, Sofie and Zoey. She also enjoys volunteering and fostering dogs for One Love, a local animal rescue organization.
